Us together is a non-profit, national network – independent of political and religious affiliations – united by a shared purpose: to ensure that children and young people grow up in safe, healthy environments filled with hope and optimism for the future. We believe in education that strengthens the individual, promotes healthy values, and equips young people with the tools they need to realise their future goals.
Children’s wellbeing is nurtured through strong family relationships and active cooperation between parents and teachers. In schools where pupils and parents are treated with respect, their involvement and participation are recognised as both valuable and self-evident.
Us together brings together people who want to build meaningful connections between home, school, and wider society, contributing to a Sweden characterised by safety, trust, and community. At a time of growing uncertainty and polarisation, we create spaces for open dialogue – even around topics that may be challenging to discuss. We believe lasting change begins when people come together, locally and collectively.
Everyone is welcome: parents, teachers, and committed individuals who want to create opportunities for sharing knowledge and building community. Engagement in Us together is entirely free of charge and offers many ways to get involved. You can connect with others via our school-based map, take part in our educational initiatives, help spread knowledge through written and campaign materials, or simply reach out to us. We meet you where you are and help you find a form of involvement that suits you.
Below is an overview of current activities you can take part in.
School Groups
Our school groups bring together parents, teachers and others who wish to contribute around each school, with the shared aim of safeguarding children’s safety and wellbeing. Through digital groups, members can exchange experiences, support one another, and work collaboratively with the school. How much and in what way you choose to get involved is entirely up to you – everyone contributes according to their time and capacity, with the best interests of the children at heart.

Sound sex education
Sound sex education is an evidence-based, age-appropriate curriculum for Swedish preschools, primary schools, and upper secondary schools. It covers four key areas – positive character development, healthy relationships, healthy sexual development, and sexual risk awareness – supported by 152 clearly defined learning objectives.
Us together developed this curriculum to provide schools with practical tools to strengthen children’s and young people’s health, safety, and future prospects. The material encourages positive character traits, healthy attitudes, and risk-aware behaviour. Teaching equips pupils with knowledge, guidance, and inspiration to make informed decisions and plan for a safe and positive future.
The Sound sex education curriculum is published on a dedicated website, which you can access here.
Most inappropriate children’s book of the year
The Most Inappropriate Children’s Book of the Year highlights books whose content may undermine children’s self-esteem or normalise harmful or unsuitable behaviour. The initiative supports parents, teachers, and libraries in making informed choices, encourages discussion about values in children’s literature, and promotes age-appropriate, health-affirming books that support children’s wellbeing and sense of security.

Safe at School
In media and certain educational materials, social assumptions sometimes appear that may negatively affect young people’s present and future health. Ideally, parents and teachers would work together as a constructive counterbalance by promoting healthy values and behaviours. In practice, such cooperation is too uncommon.
For this reason, we monitor how national and international frameworks influence the development of schools. Through our reporting, we hope to encourage more open conversations and stronger collaboration between home and school.

Reaching others
The Reaching others learning series provides practical skills and new perspectives for engaging with people who think differently from you. It is based on well-established methods from psychology, behavioural science, neuroscience, and marketing – approaches used by police, the military, therapists, exit counsellors, public authorities, and communication professionals.
No prior knowledge is required. You will gain tools for navigating difficult conversations in ways that build understanding, trust, and stronger relationships – both for yourself and for those you engage with.
The full learning series is available here.
Natural Health
Health is about living in balance with nature. Through mindful choices, physical activity, rest, purpose, and community, both body and mind can flourish. We respect each individual’s right to make decisions about their own body and advocate caution regarding solutions whose long-term effects are not yet fully understood.
